Here at Impel, our work anniversaries are called “Spiniversaries.” And recently, four dedicated team members reached a special milestone: five years or more at Impel, a length of time almost as long as the company has been in existence! We’re fortunate to have Steve Saporta, Bruce O’Brien, Joel Carpenter and Steve Gasapo with us and proudly celebrate their success.
“It is with a deep sense of gratitude and inspiration that I congratulate these individuals on achieving this significant milestone,” Impel CEO Devin Daly said. “Steve, Bruce, Joel and Steve were our very first hires, and the foundation that they helped us build set the stage for the incredible growth that we have seen over the past 5 plus years. Here’s what each team member had to say about their time with Impel.
Steve Saporta is our Chief Technology officer and joined Impel in February 2014.
“During my nearly seven years at Impel, I’ve watched the company grow from five people in a small room to a team of nearly a hundred, with thousands of customers. We’ve evolved from boutique 3D-imaging consulting, to creating 360-degree imagery for car dealers, to providing a full-fledged digital marketing platform for the automotive industry. Along the way, we’ve added departments such as Sales, Marketing, Product and Finance. I’ve had the opportunity to work with amazing technologies, like cutting-edge cloud hosting services and computer vision. Through it all, Impel has maintained an amazing spirit, and I’m proud to work alongside the most industrious, collaborative and enjoyable group of colleagues I’ve ever had the privilege to know.”
Bruce O’Brien is our VP of Sales and joined Impel in October 2014.
“For the past five years I have had the honor of working with the most talented and motivated individuals than I have ever worked with in my 40-year history. The vision of the company has stayed true since day one. Our mission was and is to provide the most insane and amazingly great merchandising solution the industry has ever seen. While our company has grown in the number of employees and product offerings, I am proud that we have stayed true to our core competency. Impel has been able to create and support our products, because of great people, great focus, and working with the BEST dealers in the industry. I am happy and blessed to be a small part of the success over the past five years and with luck, for a long time to come.”
Joel Carpenter is a Regional Sales Manager and joined Impel in October 2014.
“Impel has grown so much since the time I started, and it’s been an honor and a privilege to watch it transform over the years. Through the years there have been many miles traveled, calls dialed, and new partners signed, but they can all be boiled down to one thing: Impel’s ability to deliver an amazing experience to automotive dealers and shoppers. The best part about Impel is the people and watching every new person grow into playing a vital role in what we do, because everything we have accomplished, we’ve accomplished together. I just feel really lucky to be a part of that.”
Steve Gasapo is our Manager of Technical Support and joined Impel in September 2015.
“Five years at Impel has felt more like five months at Impel. Time has flown right by. When I started it was a handful of us in a small office and now we have nearly one hundred employees and two large new offices, and nothing seemed to skip a beat. I have learned so much in that time and feel that I will learn so much more in another five years. The friends and mentors I have made here will always be special to me. What I love most about this company is that everyone can learn from anyone here, a brand new employee is open to teaching us all something new. It is that environment that allowed me, and this company, to thrive!”
