A Buzzing Crowd and a New Session Format at Digital Dealer 2022 in Las Vegas

The Impel team attended Digital Dealer 2022 in Las Vegas during the second week of October. We’ve been looking forward to the event for months, and it did not disappoint! The show was packed with attendees and opportunities to learn and improve dealership operations, and many sessions were standing-room only.

The Impel booth was busy from the moment the floor opened until after close. We shared a lot of exciting developments and news in conversational AI this year. It was great to share many deep, strategic conversations at our booth throughout the conference — and enjoy a few cocktails with new friends and old, thanks to our fully stocked Impel bar. As always, we love demonstrating to dealers how Impel’s digital engagement platform can enhance their systems and help evolve the omnichannel shopping experience.

Talk It Up, Strip It Down: The Art of the Pitch

The Digital Dealer team always hosts impactful sessions, but we were especially excited to participate in this year’s exciting new format: The Dealer Vendor Exchange (DVX). Serving as a promotional kick-off, vendors made quick and informal 90-second pitches on the main stage to dealers. What made it exciting and different from other conferences? Unlike many tech-savvy, impressive displays, there were no slides and no videos — just a good old-fashioned elevator pitch. Luckily, we have the right guy for this kind of thing: Impel’s Vice President, Enterprise Sales, Art Dessein.

Art presented a 60-second pitch on our best-in-class AI technology that works 24/7/365. The well-attended event encouraged questions from the audience, one of which provided Arthur an opportunity to announce our recent SOC-2 achievement.

Ain’t No Party Like a Digital Dealer Party

We’re known for having a close, fun-loving team, so it’s no surprise that several team members attended the Digital Dealer party at Dolphin Bar at the Mirage Pool. After a long day of helping dealers learn about solutions and strategies, the team loved the chance to relax over drinks and really get to know the people we had met at the booth. “It reminded me how many great people there are in the industry and how building personal relationships makes for an even more successful partnership between Impel and our dealers,” said Zack.

Enterprise Sales team member Mike Collins added, “It was a great way to socialize with partners in a less buttoned environment and expand personal relationships. The event had great music that created an energetic atmosphere and presented a rare casual opportunity to have a dialogue with dealers in a more thoughtful and conversational format.”

After a busy and successful week of making connections, the team had a few hours to explore Vegas and unwound with a team dinner. Thanks to everyone who made it to the event and to Digital Dealer for another fantastic experience — we look forward to many more!
