Impel: Where People Are The Key to Success

Every employee wants to work for a company that values and appreciates them. At Impel (formerly SpinCar) work takes on a greater meaning than “just a job,” it’s having a connection with those around you as well as to the business. Impel focuses on fostering a feeling of purpose through a fun and familial work environment. At our headquarters, it’s not unusual to hear the rhythm of a ping pong rally or an occasional dog bark as our employees go about their daily tasks. We believe that our employees are the key to our company’s success, and we strive to maintain a company culture that is welcoming and engaging for all.

Since Impel’s establishment in 2014, we have endeavored to balance great results for both our customers and our employees. Impel believes in six core values that are imperative to our success: relationships, results, curiosity, grit, energy, and passion. These values are the backbone of our organization and the driving force behind our culture and business results.


At Impel, relationship building is critical to our customer success and company culture. We recently launched a program called “Coffee Chats,” which provides employees with unique opportunities to build closer relationships with the leadership team over an informal cup of coffee. We also provide many team-building opportunities outside of the workplace like bowling, attending professional and collegiate sports games, or enjoying the local cuisine which encourages employees to get to know Team Impel.

Energy and curiosity are important to us! Our employees are constantly sharing the latest news and resources via our “Industry News” Slack channel. By staying attuned to what is happening within the automotive and tech industries, the entire company is able to work toward creating, marketing, and selling the latest cutting-edge technology. Maintaining a positive, high-energy work environment leads employees to look forward to coming to work every day.

Wrapping-Final-WebTeam Impel takes great pride in being involved in our local community and has purposefully built close relationships with local nonprofits. In 2019 we began hosting an annual golf tournament to support local foundations such as The Boys and Girls Clubs of America and the Play For Your Freedom Foundation. In addition, our employees have held “cook-offs” as a fun way to raise money for these organizations. Through Chili Cook-Offs, Salsa Showdowns, and Cookie Bake-Offs, we combine our passion for food with giving back to our community and helping those in need.
